The Moogle Lands A Spot In FFXV As A "Fun Little Extra"
Last week, Square Enix asked a simple question: Do you want to see moogles return in Final Fantasy XV?
Well, the Twitter poll gave the publisher a clear answer, and now boss man Hajime Tabata has confirmed that the cuddly mascot will indeed be featured in the upcoming new entry.
However, Tabata did make it clear that moogle won't play a huge role in the experience; rather, it'll be a "fun little FFXV extra."
"Hi Tabata here. Congrats Moogle! I’d like to thank everyone that voted. I will think of a fun little way to feature Moogles in #FFXV...Importantly, at this stage of development I will not be making a trade off with the other work remaining in order to fit them in...So it won’t be a very chatty Moogle, but will be done with a suitably light level of development work as a fun little #FFXV extra."
Well, that's to be expected. The developers are apparently too far along in the creation of the game to have moogles generate a big impact and besides, moogles have never been a focal point. They've basically always been "fun little extras," so really, I think the fans got what they wanted.
Final Fantasy XV should release some time next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Previously, Square Enix said to expect a finalized launch date in March 2015.
