C'mon, Fess Up: Ever Bought A Console For Just One Game?
Unless you've got money to burn, you're probably pretty cautious about expensive purchases.
New video game systems definitely qualify, especially once you factor in games, accessories, warranties, etc. This is why, for most consumers, one game can't entice them to drop such a hefty amount of cash.
But admit it: Has one game actually managed to sway you in the past? I'm willing to bet that many who owned the original Xbox will have to step up to the plate here, because we all know you got that system for Halo. You might've ended up coming home that day with one of the other lackluster launch titles but we all know the truth: Without Halo, you would never picked up an Xbox at launch. Going way back, I guess we could probably say the same thing about the original NES. It was Super Mario Bros. and nothing else, of course. In those days, though, game systems didn't launch with a bevy of titles.
So, have you ever caved? Was it Soul Calibur and the Dreamcast? Resistance: Fall of Man and the PS3? Or was it a console that had already been out for a while, and one game launched that made you finally break out the wallet? I know for many, it was Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec on PS2. Here's your chance to fess up!
