Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta Postponed

The Rainbow Six Siege open beta was supposed to have started today. But as some of you have already discovered, it's not available.

And that's because the developers have been forced to delay this test.

As Ubisoft announced in the publisher's official forums, the beta has been delayed for all platforms:

"We're currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such, we're postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements."

The open beta, as as previously detailed, will boast 13 different operators and 3 maps but obviously, we'll have to wait before we can try 'em out. Yesterday, Ubisoft confirmed that the PS4's resolution is tracking ahead of Xbox One, 1080p vs. 720p right now.

We'll let you know when Ubisoft provides us with a new date for the open beta.

Just add single player on this! And you can delay it for a few years and all is good.

I don't think a game like this needs a single player at all, it's clearly a game marketed and designed around online play and that's not a bad thing.

Have you played the S.W.A.T game series? If so then you would understand why this would work with a single layer as it a similar concept. Not everyone enjoys online play with randoms. If it was split screen multipler now thats a differnt story i would be happy with that at least!

That's what everyone said about Star Wars Battlefront.

That's true also would of been nice to have single player with Battlefront. Only reason why i didn't buy it. Nees a star wars game like Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.

I have played some of the SWAT games, but as I said this is a game designed around online play, a single player version would be pretty bad imo. This is suppose to be a team based game, communication is key to victory, can you imagine the nightmare playing this with AI?

Not every game needs to have a single player.

I watched some twitch videos earlier. I wonder if it went live and they took it down?

I think folks in the closed beta could still play.
