Turkey Day Gaming Blessings: What Are You Thankful For?

We're coming to the end of another great year in gaming, so what are you most thankful for in 2015?

I doubt microtransactions and delays are going to be on anyone's list, although I will say I actually look forward to the occasional delay. Gives me more time, you know?

Personally, I'm thankful for a very streamlined and reliable console; my PlayStation 4 runs like a charm and it has a fantastic interface in my estimation. It has never been easier to sit down and play a game, jump into Netflix, or interact with others. And while I do have very good luck with my systems in general, it seems clear enough that Sony's console has been extremely reliable thus far this generation.

Game-wise, I'm definitely thankful for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which revived my flagging interest in open-world games and RPGs in general. It has been a long time since a game hooked me in such a riveting fashion, and that's saying something after a game-ending bug totally destroyed my first 8 hours during my review run. I'm also thankful for all the fixes and updates that have come down the pike, and that fantastic Hearts of Stone expansion.

I'm also thankful for Assassin's Creed Syndicate, which not only took very big steps forward in several key areas (not the least of which is the two protagonist setup and the game-changing rope launcher), but also proved that Ubisoft could produce a very stable and well-running game if they set their mind to it. Lastly, I will add Everybody's Gone to the Rapture because it rekindled my faith in interactive storytelling.

How about you?

At 63, this gamer is surely thankful that I'm still breathing.
(although if I wasn't, I'd never know it).

I'm also thankful that the temp won't be much lower than 49 when I start my 1/2 walking trek to GameStop at 4AM to await the chance to get one of their 23 $299.99 Collection PS4 bundle once they open at 5AM.

And I'll be especially super thankful if there's not too many peeps in line so that one of those 23 bundles becomes mine, all mine, along with that $10 Black Friday Killzone:Shadowfall game too.

Ha, Thanks World!

But now I don't have to bundle up, just checked with my cheapgamer.deals & they said that Amazon & BestBuys was doing the same deal right now.

I checked out Amazon & they were already sold out.
But I was able to buy same 500GB Uncharted Collection PS4 for $299.99 with free shipping($320 after tax). Should have it by Dec 4th.

FYI, there's still of these $299.99 bundles left for anyone else who wants one, but act quickly before BB's all sold out too.

Woo,Woo,Woo, I'm now an utterly extremely thankful & grateful ole GeezerGamer!!!!!

It hurts me a little every time Captain America throws a Harley at the enemy to blow him up.

Im thankful for Bloodborne being so difficult yet so rich in its lore and story that it kept, and continues to keep me so fascinated and intrigued in its incredibly dark and disturbing take on the world.

Im also thankful for redbox allowing me to rent garbage games like Syndicate and Tony Hawk 5 cause doing so saved me tons of money this year. Im also thankful to Capcom for seeing the error of their ways and really working hard to redeem themselves. It takes a lot of guts to admit you were wrong, and try to pursue some form of redemption.

Oh and Dishonored Definitive and Dishonored 2 anouncement as well as Nier 2. Damn. Theres actually a ton to be thankful for gaming wise this year. Im thankful for the entire gaming year in general. And of course, Im thankful for the only gaming website that has its own personality with the face of Ben.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

The ease with which Japanese games that never would have come stateside can be brought here due to PS4's capabilities. It no longer makes sense not to localize, which was a PS3 issue. Now I have jrpgs and outlandish action that less worldly folks don't understand.

Also Fallout 4, it's like it's 8 years ago again in all the good ways.

And now, what I got in the mail today as a piece of history for my very own: A Nintendo Power Glove :)

I'm thankful for one incredible year of game releases. I really can't keep up with all of the releases.
I'm engrossed in Fallout 4 these days, mingled with sessions of Battlefront. I'd also like to spend more time with MGSV, or past games like Witcher 3, or clean up on some optional Arkham Night stuff, or dive into that new Bloodborne expansion, or even the bikes based Drive Club one. And then there's AC Syndicate. Something I'm sure I'll get too here at some point.

Anyway. It's been one great year in gaming. I didn't think I'd have a backlog so soon of current gen games but here I am going into 2016 with PLENTY to play.

Alien Isolation! Which I finally agreed to get. What a great game that I normally wouldn't play but for the PS4.

I think I may wait for another PSN sale to get the complete edition of Alien Isolation.

Mine was the Nostromo edition whatever that is, it does have what looks like good DLC but I'm gonna play the main game first.
