Programmer: FFXV Entirely Playable From Start To Finish
Good news, JRPG fans.
Although we don't yet have a concrete release date for Final Fantasy XV, we do know the anticipated game is now fully playable from start to finish.
That's what programmer Satoshi Kitade said in the official FFXV forums (as translated by Gematsu). Kitade says the game has passed through pre-beta, which means the team now turns its attention to fine-tuning and polishing:
"We're at the point where we can play the game in its entirety from start to finish. From this, everyone on the development team can get an overall view on the game."
Kitade added that the first half of the game is actually "finished with the quality of a final product," which is more good news. Might this mean we get FFXV sooner rather than later in 2016...? Previously, Square Enix said we'd get the finalized launch date in March. We've seen 42 minutes of gameplay footage and don't forget the most important tidbit for American and European gamers: Final Fantasy XV will enjoy a global simultaneous launch.
