New Yakuza 6 Trailer Showcases Some Brutal Combat

We knew it was coming and now we've got a special reveal trailer for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Sega has released a new Yakuza 6 video (see it below) featuring protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, and it proves he's nobody to be trifled with.

It mostly shows off slo-mo footage of Kiryu beating on a mob boss, but we also get a peek at some regular gameplay where the main character appears to be negotiating some rooftops. This game was confirmed at the Tokyo Game Show in September, along with the announcement of an original remake for PS4. After a delay, Yakuza 5 finally landed on North American PS3s this month, and has since received solid critical acclaim. But there was a three-year gap between the Japanese and North American releases.

Let's just hope Yakuza 6 doesn't take that long to release in Western territories.

Kinda want to undust my ps3 for Yakuza 5, but with Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 it's kinda hard... worst of all the release date of the game was in the same week it got released lol.

Hope they do better with Yakuza 6.

It will be nice if they release it to the rest of the world in a decent time frame. It just sucks that those of us that are avid fans of the games get pushed to the backburner unless we up and move to Japan.

I will probably end up missing 5 as i don't feel like playing on the PS3, unless i get really bored. If they release it in any form on PS4 then i'll grab it for sure.
