GameStop's Used Next-Gen Bundle Could Save You $300

Still mired in the previous generation of consoles? Don't even have one of the new systems?

Well, you can remedy that situation with one big purchase and come home with all three...provided you don't have a problem with pre-owned hardware.

GameStop has the ultimate Pre-Owned Next Generation Hardware Bundle, which features a used PS4, Xbox One and Wii U for only $570. This is the black 500GB PS4 and Xbox One consoles, and the 32GB Wii U, along with a controller for each system. Bear in mind that the deal is only available online but if you use the code SAVER at checkout, you'll get free shipping.

For the record, standard retail prices for refurbished PS4s are about $320, while Xbox Ones go for $290 and Wii Us cost $260. Therefore, if you bought them all at those prices, the total would come to $870, meaning this bundle does indeed offer a pretty hefty discount.

Refurbished systems are a lot better than they used to be back in the day, too. But really, it's up to you.

Too bad it's online only. You can at least inspect the item before you buy and the staff, in my only experience in buying a used game, will make the effort to look for the best looking item. Whereas with online only, you don't know what you're getting.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with re-furb's & I'm a proud example of that.
And as a owner of over 30 consoles & hand-held's so far, I own about a 1/3 of my machines as re-furbs(even retro's) & they're still working just fine.
Oddly enough though, the only re-furbs that finally failed over time, were 3 old GameStop re-furbed 60 gigger PS3's, all had the fans getting louder & louder over time until each machine just suddenly froze up without warning & instantly YLOD'ed on me. Hell, I still have my Skyrim Legendary Edition disc forever stuck inside one of them, and with close to 300 hours I had spent finding 256 different places & slaying 8 dragons in that game, damnit!

Anyways back to refurbs, any reputable company will fix the original fault the console had, & then recheck the rest of the whole console & fix anything else wrong, back to the manufacturer specs too.
The only thing that the customer need check for with re-furbs is cosmetics, such as light scratch's, nicks, in/on the casing, etc.

Now with that said, I'd strongly advise everyone to stay away from a just "used" machines as you'll never know if the prior owner abused it, neglected the care of it, or even if a part of it isn't working such as the Bluray disc drive, laser, etc.

It is okay to get used or refub when it comes to anything. The problem is, it depends what item it is. You don't want to buy used under wear do you, LOL? Anyways, I wouldn't touch a used 360 due to its' history and you don't want a used wii u unless you get to look at the gamepad to make sure it is not heavily scratched. Best bundle ever from gamestop (it still would have been nice to through in one game on each console), I hope that person can make enough room though.
