Dragon's Dogma 2? The Possibility For A Sequel Exists
Dragon's Dogma was a surprise to many, and definitely one of 2012's best action/RPGs.
The well-received game is finally making its way to PC this year, and during a new PC Gamer interview, producer Minae Matsukawa confirmed that while there are no plans for a sequel, it's not out of the realm of possibility:
"The Dragon's Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel. We'd love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series."
The PC port of the upgraded version - Dark Arisen - is scheduled to launch on January 15; it released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013. The good news is that Matsukawa says the original team is mostly intact, as they also created Dragon's Dogma Online, the free-to-play title that launched last year for PS4, PS3 and PC in Japan. So, if a true sequel was to happen, most of the same developers would be in on the project.
Sounds good to me; a new Dragon's Dogma for PS4 would be awesome!
