FFXV Devs Answer Important Fan Queries

It's everything you've always wanted to know about Final Fantasy XV, courtesy of the developers.

Okay, maybe it's not everything you want to know but several Square Enix designers took to the FFXV forums to answer a bunch of burning fan questions.

Among the information includes buildings with multiple warp points, so Noctis can "teleport instantly to high-up locations." Lead level designer Terada Takefumi says this is a "vital part" of the game's combat system," so it'll definitely be a big part of the action. One of the most interesting responses came when a fan asked, "HOW MUCH OF THE BIG CITIES LIKE ALTISSIA/INSOMNIA WILL WE BE ABLE TO EXPLORE?" Here's what planner Ishikawa Tomonori said in response:

"I can tell everyone a little about Altissia at this time. Altissia has many and varied locations, such as multiple cafes, ship-bourne market places and parks etc. The city is of a considerable scale, to the extent that even the developers sometimes get lost there! The player is free to take a leisurely walk around the complex maze of streets, or ride the gondola to see the sights and there is also added enjoyment to be had looking for restaurants to visit!

You are bound to encounter some unique characters when exploring the city streets. So we have created lots of different things to enjoy in Altissia and hope everyone is looking forward to visiting!"

They also addressed how difficulty modes compare in regards to XP, enemy stats, damage and AI, so click through the link above if you want Square Enix's answer to that. We don't yet have a confirmed date for FFXV but it should be arriving in March. And if you're a little impatient, you can always check out 42 minutes of gameplay.

Are you excited?

So that's a trailer for the latest Final Fantasy game? Is Ninja Theory developing it?

I'm a little worried about that game NT is making. It seems a bit weird. They haven't let me down yet though. Perhaps the girl could take a bath.

That doesn't look like a Final Fantasy game to me.

While the trailer looks very Devil May Fantasy I think the words above and the demo are a better representation. We go from a single hallway to a much too large open world that will take all your time traversing a la FFXII rather than a strong story that goes through the world while leaving it open a la FFVII-VIII-IX-X.

Need those reviews if this game ever arrives.

I'm not sure that I would have time to indulge in this even if it sparked my interest like the classics. The graphics are gorgeous. If the gameplay manages to be fun and it has a very strong story, maybe. A very thin maybe.

Kind of reminds me of how ambitious FF12 tried to go with its world. There are just other games on mind that I put ahead of this. I just don't have the time to be putting into multiple rpjs anymore. Especially still being a completist.
