Lightning Talks About Her New Life As A Model...Yes, Really
Uh...so, if I interview a nonexistent virtual person, can't I just write the responses myself?
Anyway, when you're a big fashion company, you can apparently do anything, and that includes interviewing Lightning. The Final Fantasy XIII heroine has taken up modeling in her retirement and now, Louis Vuitton speaks to their new pixelated spokesperson.
In a recent Telegraph "interview,", Lightning talks about her goals as a fashion model. She says she aims to one day share the stage with models like Jennifer Connelly and Alicia Vikander, but she still "has a lot to learn." She also talks about shedding her tough-girl skin and changing her image to something more feminine, and she credits Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquiere with that transformation:
"His collection fills me with a sense of serenity and pride. Perhaps I'm finally learning who I truly am.
Fashion isn't something you're taught or given, it comes from your own taste and your own choices. It displays the essence of who you are to the people around you. It is a thrill that I, who has faced my share of danger, have never experienced before. LV is a new adventure--a new fantasy--that I will enjoy from the bottom of my heart."
Previously, Square Enix came forward to support Lightning's decision, and believes this step will "breath new life into the character." Our response is that she could continue on this new career path because she'll end up with a better reputation.
