The Division Gets Four-Part Live-Action Prequel Series
Looks like the publisher is putting a lot of money into promoting this game.
Ubisoft has revealed a new live-action prequel series to amp up the excitement for the multiplayer tactical shooter, Tom Clancy's The Division. This series was produced in conjunction with YouTube heavy hitters RocketJump, devinsupertramp and CorridorDigital.
It will be a four-part series that chronicles the back-stories of four separate agents during the early stages of their deployment in the post-pandemic New York City. The total run time for all four presentations will come to about a half-hour, but we don't yet know when the first will arrive. Check out the brief teaser trailer below and then try to pretend you're not at least a little intrigued.
The Division is one of the most anticipated releases of 2016 and it's scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 8. Just this week, we learned the game would only feature Midtown Manhattan at launch but despite the absence of other NY boroughs, the developers assure us that Manhattan is plenty big enough. And don't forget that the beta test kicks off on January 29 for PS4 players! Just pre-order to get in.
