11 Minutes Of Yakuza 6 Gameplay: Many Baddies Get Smacked
Okay, so the quality isn't that great. But it's 11 minutes of gameplay, so that's worth seeing. For something slicker, you can always check out one of the early trailers.
Here, Gematsu captures the gameplay as shown off by series director Toshihiro Nagoshi, and there's lots of brawling going on. Fans will also notice that we're seeing more on-screen enemies than we've ever seen before, which gives the fighting extra scope and urgency. And of course, enduring protagonist Kazuma Kiryu won't always be facing down a bunch of foes by himself; his friends are along to help this time around.
If you're in Japan and you picked up Yakuza Kiwami (the remake of the original title), today you'll be treated to a demo of Yakuza 6. Unfortunately, for the time being, both games are only confirmed for the Land of the Rising Sun, so American and European gamers will just have to be patient. Patience is a definite virtue for Yakuza followers outside of Japan, that's for damn sure.
If you've still got a PS3, though, you should definitely snag Yakuza 5, which finally came our way in December 2015, three years after it first launched in Japan.
