It was originally only confirmed for PC, but now we know console gamers will get it as well.

Disney has announced that Tron Run/r is headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 16. That's the same day it will enjoy a full release on PC after being in Early Access. The price will be $20 for all platform versions.

In Tron Run/r, you create an avatar and customize it with "dozens" of elements, such as light cycles, suits and helmets. There are over 30 levels to attempt and conquer and a special Stream Mode that tasks players with completing "harrowing" remixes of existing levels. The game will also support leaderboards so players can compare their performances against others. Lastly, product development director Chris Nicholls says it was the team's goal to create a game that "remained authentic" to the iconic title's arcade origins..

Tron Run/r will also boast music from EDM legend Giorgio Moroder and Raney Shockne, with remixes from artists like Autechre, Bibio, Darkstar, Joywave and Plaid. Check out a brief teaser:

Tron: Legacy was an audio-visual treat, with a story decent enough to back it up.

Will check this out!

I'm sorry, but endless runner games are just BORING. They're the same thing - react to increasingly impossible-to-react-to events, while collecting items to cash in for upgrades or costumes. They vary from each other by their artwork, and sometimes by the powerups, but it's a tiring formula.

I played Night Driver WAY back in the day, which must have been the forerunner (pardon the pun) of these games - and Spy Hunter, which is more fun than most of them. But as an entire genre? Meh. This has to be something more special than it sounds like if it's going to grab my attention, especially $20 of attention!
