If You're On The Division Beta Waitlist, You Better Be Patient
This is why it rarely pays to be on any wait-list.
When Ubisoft announced the beta details for the anticipated tactical multiplayer shooter Tom Clancy's The Division, they revealed that the closed beta had limited space.
In other words, if you ended up on the wait-list, you'd have to bide your time until Ubisoft could let you in. Now, due to an "unprecedented level of interest" in the test, the developers were unable to let wait-listed people in on Friday and there's no guarantee for Saturday. As community manager Natchai Stappers said in Ubisoft's forums:
"As a result, it is unlikely that the players who are currently on the waitlist will gain access to the beta today. Our goal is to grant access to all those players interested in playing The Division and we still hope to do so. Please check back tomorrow for an update on the status of the waitlist."
Make sure to check back for that update and here's hoping you get in. The Division is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games of 2016 and Ubisoft is definitely pushing the hell out of this one. We're getting a slick-looking live-action prequel series featuring the game's four main agents, and the publisher just outlined their post-launch DLC plans.
The Division is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 8.
