The beta test for the highly anticipated tactical multiplayer shooter Tom Clancy's The Division proved to be immensely popular.

And shortly before the beta was supposed to end, Ubisoft announced that they'd add more players to the beta session over the weekend.

But the good news didn't end there. After first announcing via Twitter that the beta would officially end today (February 1), Ubisoft confirmed that due to overwhelming interest, they would extend the beta by 24 hours. This should include people who have been on the waitlist as well, so if you haven't had the opportunity to play yet, you might get in very soon.

Recently, Ubisoft revealed the extensive DLC plans for The Division, which is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 8.

Having purposely avoided watching any trailers or vids relating to The Division, I wasn't sure what to expect when I started the BETA.
After figuring out all the stuff on the screen and the menus, the game really clicked with me.
The combat is *very* much like Gears of War, so if you're familiar with that mechanic, then you'll be right at home with The Division.
The RPG elements in the game, plus its setting of modern New York is very interesting.

I played a bit of the online MP last night, but couldn't quite figure it out. I think I'm more in it for the RPG and, hopefully, co-op gameplay.

Freaking love this game so far, got a BETA code for me and my son and we just been going crazy the whole weekend. I was really worried that me selling some older games so i could preorder a copy for me and my son and then i would be disapointed but i was not. When you play online i truly suggest you have a couple of people with you to watch your back. It sucks when you have some good loot and you are taking down by some group of thugs trying to take your loot ( LOL ). The map was pretty big for a BETA and My wife is pissed that i preordered this game cause my son and me barely left our ps4 off playing just the BETA i could imagine when we get the full open maps. Its such a good experience being able to share the gaming experience with my teenage son. Cant wait for march goodbye destiny.
