YouTube's Top 10 Trending Games For January Revealed

News Images - 06858

Want to know what the top trending video games on YouTube are?

YouTube has released a Top 10 list of the most popular games on its platform, based on total watch time and number of uploads. This list is for January 2016.

Maybe it's surprising to see certain games on here but bear a few things in mind: In January, there was a wildly successful beta for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, along with another hugely popular beta (though it was closed) for Tom Clancy's The Division. And Dying Light got that huge expansion, The Following. As for the others...well, they're games that people obviously want to see. No big shock to see Rocket League on there; that game is infinitely watchable.

  • Plants vs. Zombie: Garden Warfare 2
  • Tom Clancy's The Division
  • Dying Light
  • Subnautica
  • Goat Simulator
  • Lego Marvel's Avengers
  • Shovel Knight
  • Rocket League
  • Smite
  • Boom Beach

Yeah, Goat Simulator. Hell, I think I looked that up on YouTube once, too.

As far as I'm concerned, Rocket League and Shovel Knight are the only games listed really worth playing. But now that XCOM 2 is out, I see that possibly climbing up pretty good as it trumps the previous XCOM is just about every way from what I've played so far. The Division has been such a disappointment. Doesn't help that the beta is full of cheaters that the developers have already acknowledged.

BTW, who ever it was that developed "Goat Simulator" took 1 too many of Timothy Leary's Orange wedge, Mescaline, & Peyote button experiences while making that game!

But, what a crazy fun mind-numbed game this is.
