Keep Pushing Sony, You Haven't Won Yet
Okay, so you've taken the gaming world by storm. Microsoft may have successfully countered and in the end, you might not be able to own the US. The Xbox brand may be simply too powerful.
But there's no denying that you're off to a running start, Sony. The PlayStation 4 is one hot item and the number of positive headlines continues to grow with every passing day. However, it's critical to remember one thing- it's very easy to become a prisoner of the moment. Individuals and companies alike can let that happen.
Hence, this is no time to rest on your laurels and bask in all those positive vibes. Rather, Sony should continue to push and press. Microsoft is running scared; they're on the ropes; they're rescinding annoying, extremely unpopular mandates. Sure, they'll keep plying developers with vast amounts of cash in an effort to steal away exclusives. They'll effectively cater to the casual sheep who don't follow video game news and are barely aware that PlayStation exists. All this means that Sony has to continue pushing forward, dropping great news and even hints at great news on the horizon. Don't let up now; keep the accelerator pinioned!
It's time to stick with what you do best. Announce more exclusive software that turns heads and makes everyone "ooh" and "aah." Tell us Uncharted 4 is in the works and will release exclusively for the PS4 during the 2014 holiday season. Tell us Kazunori Yamauchi and Co. are indeed working on a PS4 version of Gran Turismo 6. Tell us The Last Guardian is actually coming and it's being adapted to the PS4. Tell us Insomniac is coming back to the PlayStation fold, an they're bringing Resistance 4 with 'em. Tell us an official God of War reboot is on the way. Tell us more about Quantic Dream's The Dark Sorcerer. Tell us about a new LittleBigPlanet.
Do that and victory might indeed be assured.
