Bethesda Has "Three Long-Term Projects" In The Works
But they've got lots more in the hopper.
Speaking at the 2016 DICE Summit, Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim director Todd Howard was asked what his team is working on next. And while he didn't get specific, Howard did tease multiple big projects:
"We have three longer-term projects we're doing that are all...we'll talk about them at a much future date. But they're different than anything we've done before while also being a Bethesda-style game; big and crazy. But in many ways different than things we've done before."
If they're different, does that mean that one of them isn't a new Elder Scrolls? Or does it just mean that the next time we see that IP, it'll play very differently than any installment before it? Howard was asked if one of the new Bethesda games rhymes with "Fallout 5" but he only laughed at that, adding the studio has "lots of ideas" for future titles.
It's always interesting to hear about massive - and secret - projects in the works at very talented developers. Makes one ponder the possibilities...
