PSN Launch Party Sale: Highlighting 6 Top Digital Titles

News Images II - 08659

Welcome to a new PlayStation Store promotion.

As announced over at the PlayStation Blog, it's called Launch Party and Sony says it's a "celebration of our favorite digital games releasing this spring."

Essentially, this is an evolution of the annual Spring Fever campaign. Sony says they're retiring that promotion "in name only," adding that we'll still see "great weekly deals on games and movies" on a consistent basis. But Launch Party gives promising new titles on the horizon a chance to shine, and if you pre-order any of them from the Store, you can pre-load and play them immediately upon release. You'll also get an additional 10 percent off.

For this first round of digital goodness, Sony will be featuring Salt and Sanctuary (PS4), Day of the Tentacle Remastered (PS4/Vita), Enter the Gungeon (PS4), Stories: The Path of Destinies (PS4), Invisible, Inc. (PS4) and Alienation (PS4). Click through the blog link above to see some screens for all these games.

Yay a handful of games nobody wants.

"Day of the tentacle" does sound like a fun Japanese animation video though. ;)

It makes older gamers really happy, though (nyuk nyuk nyuk).. DoD was a fun adventure game like Monkey Island. I still remember booting it up in DOS. *tears* .. how time flies.

DOTT is actually a remake of a classic and at least the original is one of the best & funniest adventure games ever made by the team at LucasArts & the great Tim Schafer! Same team that made Grim Fandango too.
