Reworked Dragon Fantasy Set For PS4, Is A JRPG Love Note
Okay, so it isn't turn-based but remember that not all old-school RPGs had that mechanic.
JRPG lovers appreciate all sorts of mechanics, including those we found in traditional classics like Secret of Mana. And maybe if that game has a special place in your heart, you'll be interested in this:
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog, Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice will land on PlayStation 4 on March 22. It's described as the "director's cut" of Dragon Fantasy: Book II, which released for PS3 a few years back. The team says they fixed "dozens of bugs," "improved the storytelling," and "re-tuned all of the battles in the game." Then they added several new features, such as a difficulty slider that lets you fully customize the challenge, and an in-game bestiary for all you completionists.
If you're still a fan of retro RPGs, it's a no-brainer. And if you missed out before, here's a peek at Book II; this is basically what you can expect from the overhauled edition you'll see on PS4. But sans the aforementioned upgrades, of course.
