PSXE Poll Update: The Division Isn't A Day One No-Brainer

Well, isn't this interesting.

At the start of February, Ubisoft held an extremely popular beta test for Tom Clancy's The Division and according to a poll, the majority of our readers loved it.

And yet, when asked if they'd be picking up the game this past week (the anticipated tactical multiplayer-oriented shooter launched on March 8), the majority said, "zero chance in hell." Granted, a fair number said they'd be snagging the title on day one, but it's interesting to see the shift. Perhaps a lot of you are simply waiting to get it at some point down the road, or maybe you were turned off by the 26 missions at launch, or the reports of poor texture issues on PS4.

However, we should note that the PS4 version was recently found to be just a little better than its Xbox One counterpart.

Anyway, this week, we want to know if you're buying what Square Enix is selling: They've said they want to make people cry with the ending to Final Fantasy XV (which is rumored to launch on September 30, by the way). Do you think they'll succeed?

I hope it's not cry-in-pain-over-having-bought-the game kind of cry....

its an interesting take on whatever this is supposed to be. the question is what happens when i "beat" everything?

Not hostile, we just don't favor all-online games round these parts ;)

makes sense. i can def see the sour grapes thanks to destiny.

one thing im concerned about for division is what happens when i complete all the missions? destiny has something for you to visit daily or weekly. division doesnt offer anything like that other than a "dead zone" for pvp which is completely optional

Yeah you can't sell me on that idea again, it never is what they promise. It feels like it for a little while but it's a mirage. A well made mirage that actually has much less to it than a basic campaign.

edit: FFXV equals sadness all around.

I have The Division and I have to say I am really really enjoying it.

Yes it has borrowed a few ideas from Destiny and other games, but for me this game simply works.

Yeah there have been a few glitches graphically but nothing game changing for me. I seen more glitches in The Witcher and I love that game.

I am glad I got The Division, I did have my apprehensions with it being online like Destiny but I like the fact I can just pick it up and do things on my own or join friends.

I was one who said I loved the Beta, then said I wasn't getting it because it felt too similar to Destiny. I ended up getting it solely because a whole bunch of my friends who said they weren't getting it, ended up getting it. I'm really glad I got it now it's been a lot of fun.
