Double Fine, Boneloaf's Gang Beasts Has Multiplayer, VR Support
If Double Fine's name is on it, we're interested. And besides, the other developer's name is "Boneloaf." That right there is worthy of mention.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog, the new title from the aforementioned teams, Gang Beasts, will offer online multiplayer and VR support when it launches on PlayStation 4 later this year.
Dubbed a "silly multiplayer party game" in which "groups of surly gelatinous characters" do battle through a series of zany locations, Gang Beasts looks like a unique and wildly entertaining experience for multiple players. They've been working with sound specialists Robert Larder and Adam "doseone" Drucker, along with designers from Coatsink, Ruce, and SuperGenius to give the game even more content and polish. They're currently striving to finish the single-player and co-op game modes and the character customization system, so hopefully, the game isn't far off.
This could be interesting for PlayStation VR but doesn't it mean that all your buddies would have to have the VR unit, too...? Well, either way, expect more VR support for more titles in the very near future.
