If You Missed It, Here's 12 Minutes Of E3 Destiny Gameplay

Bungie wowed the crowd at E3 by presenting over 12 minutes of awesome Destiny gameplay during Sony's conference.

If you missed it, they've finally released the full gameplay video, which includes all that juicy footage. It shows off parts of the story along with plenty of gameplay, and it specifically highlights the cooperative action. Call a friend!

There's no doubt that you'll want to play this one with a few friends. It's designed for multiplayer entertainment, after all, and the firefights appear to be slick and very engaging. It does look a bit like Halo (you can sense that design style in some of the enemies and weapons), but this is much more advanced in terms of technological capacity. It definitely has some appealing visuals, don't you think?

Didn't know it even had a story. I wonder if Sony gamers will side with Destiny or Dust514

Destiny will definitely be more popular. Dust514 doesn't seem to have the following.

But yeah, I am surprised to find that much information about this game hasn't really been passed on to the masses very well.

But basically, this game will feature a campaign, just like any story based game will. The campaign is formed by missions, and each section of the story is told as a book. With each book being another part to the story. So in the future they will add new chapters or books, which will further expand on the story. Which is a part of their 10-year story idea they have. The idea I get from all the coverage I have seen is that most of the game will have some story element to it.

You can choose to play the campaign single player, or co-op. But either way, you still need an internet connection.

There is a focus on public events, which are random events which happen in public spaces, which all nearby players will have the option to take part in regardless of their level. But you still always have the option to play the entire game solo. Another huge part of the game is a focus on exploration. The planet is in ruins, part of your job is to explore those ruins and rediscover mankind's history. Even the exploration is a kind of story in itself, because you are discovering the story of every location.

EDIT: I guess you can look at it, similar to a Fallout or Eldar Scrolls game, but a lot bigger, filled with real people, and the developer is commited to providing new content for the next 10 years.

With this assumption this is on PS4 of course I will certainly be getting this. It's beautiful and since I might be waiting on the next Resistance installment this will do. As long as local co-op of course

It's confirmed PS4, with exclusive content.

Don't expect a new Resistance game. Like ever.

such a waste!
such a beautiful brilliant world, bungie have always been masters at that, so why the %$#@ would you confine that to a MMO!?

whut?

You think making this game online confines it? It's quite the opposite.

That's such backwards thinking, I can't even understand that......

Bungie's main focus with this game, is to create a great action game, that people CAN share with other people. But just because you can share the world with other people, doesn't mean you have to. There are options to play privately. Also, there IS a campaign story for this game.
