Tales of Berseria Introduces New Character Aizen, Japanese Release Date To Be Announced On April 13
Another great news for JRPG fans!
Bandai Namco announced today that they’re going to reveal Tales of Berseria’s release date in Japan on April 13, 2016, along with a long version of the third trailer for the game. The trailer will feature various and previously unseen cuts that are key to the game’s story, with the theme song “Burn” by Flow as its backdrop. The end of the trailer will reveal a release date.
Also, Bandai Namco recently introduced a new character for their Tales of Berseria with Aizen, a pirate/rival ally, in this week’s issue of Jump magazine. You can see it below, although the text is in Japanese.
Aizen (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa and designed by Minoru Iwamoto) is a person generally known as the “God of Demise” and deputy of Aifread’s band of pirates. He works along with Velvet to fight Exorcists, their shared enemy. The magazine also confirmed that although an Exorcist, from certain circumstances, Eleanor will join the party and travel together with Velvet.
Well, Aizen reminds me of Alvin from Tales of Xillia. He might also have an interesting background story on the game like Alvin. I'm excited for this game. This year will be a great year for JRPG's on the PS4, as the RPG games FFXV, Star Ocean 5, and Tales of Berseria will be released this year. Let's just hope that Bandai Namco will announce the release date of the North American version of Tales of Berseria (hopefully it will release this year) soon, then we're all set!
Tales of Berseria will launch for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan. In the west, the game is planned for release on PlayStation 4 and PC.
