Supergiant's New Game: A Party-Based RPG Debuting On PS4

Here's all you need to know:

It's the same developer that brought us Transistor and Bastion. Both were totally and completely awesome.

Now, Supergiant Games has announced their latest project: Pyre, a "party-based RPG" that is described as follows:

"Pyre once again showcases our small team’s commitment to rich atmospheric presentation and storytelling, along with a distinctive gameplay blend that combines expressive decision making on the world map with fast, action-packed confrontations against rival groups of exiles whose own freedom is at stake. We want to create a large cast of characters you can grow close to as you travel together across a strange and wondrous land."

Click through the link to learn a bit about about the storyline, which sounds both dark and intriguing. There's no exact date yet but we do know Pyre will debut on PlayStation 4 some time next year and as far as I'm concerned, the sooner the better. They're sure to release more details later but in the meantime, check out the first trailer below, and visit the Supergiant website for more. The team also encourages you to leave your impressions on their Twitter page.

Can't wait!

I dunno, I see the brilliance in their work but can't bring myself to go very far. Even Bastion, take out that narrator and it's pretty basic.

I really enjoyed Bastion and Transistor was good even though I didn't finish it. I like their style a lot.
