Friday The 13th: The Game Gets New Map, Brutal New Kill
If you didn't already know, Friday the 13th: The Game was successfully funded on Kickstarter.
And now, after raking in over $823K, the developer has revealed a few new details for the promising new horror adventure.
The first is a new map based on the Higgins Haven property. Set on the shores of Crystal Lake, movie buffs will remember this setting from "Friday the 13th: Part III" and "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter." You can catch a sneak peek of the new map in the video below, where you will also find a brand new execution. Jason slams an unfortunate camper's head into a door and yeah, it's pretty brutal and fittingly called "Door Kill."
This new Friday the 13th interactive adventure is a multiplayer game where one person plays as Jason, and everyone else assumes the role of the campers. As you might expect, there are the classic/cliched characters, like "the girl next door" and "the jock." The title is loosely scheduled to arrive in October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
