Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Announced For PS4, Xbox One, And PC
Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is in development at Dimps and scheduled for release in North America in 2016, and in Europe during an unannounced release window.
The sequel builds upon the original game with enhanced graphics in what promises to be the “largest and most detailed Dragon Ball world ever developed.” It offers a new hub city and the most character customization choices to date, among a multitude of new features and special upgrades. Additional details and features will be revealed at E3 2016 between June 14 and 16.
“The Dragon Ball franchise is a crown jewel and a perennial fan-favorite of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s robust anime videogame portfolio and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will build upon that illustrious legacy.” said Eric Hartness, Vice President of Marketing at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. “With Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, we’re working diligently with the DIMPS team to pull out all the stops and push the Dragon Ball videogame experience to new heights.”
You can watch the announcement trailer of the game below.
The first game shipped for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan on February 5, 2015. It then debuted in the United States on February 24, 2015 and in Europe on February 27, 2015. It also debuted on PC via Steam on February 27, 2015.
I guess this is good news for fighting fans, and for the fans of the Dragon Ball anime. I never played any of the Dragon Ball games before, as I've never had much interest in fighting games. Nevertheless, fans of this game series can look forward for more details and features of the upcoming sequel game next month at E3.
