E3 2016: Insomniac Is Making A Spider-Man Game For PS4
Insomniac Games has announced it is working on a new Spider-Man game. A trailer for the title was shown during Sony's PlayStation press conference at E3. The game will feature a new, authentic story in which players will take control of an experienced Peter Parker.
In a post by Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann, he explained that Insomniac is a perfect match for Spider-Man because “not only are they world class game developers that make phenomenal story-driven experiences, but they also craft games bursting with personality, humor and most importantly: fun… just like Spidey!”
As for deciding to go with Sony on the game, he said:
The PlayStation 4 is one of the most exciting gaming platforms ever! But not only have they created a great gaming console, they also have an amazing line-up of first party titles and a community of the most passionate players that we are thrilled to join.
You can view the trailer of Spider-Man for PS4 below.
In the trailer above, Spider-Man is shown leaping around a cafe, before smashing through a window and landing on moving cars. He battles against an armed thug, using his webbing to tie him up to a passing lamp post. He's later seen leaping from a building that looks to be collapsing and also hanging onto the side of a moving train. All in a day's work for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
I was surprised. I never expected for Sony to announce a Spider-Man game exclusively for PS4. Well, Sony owns the rights for the Spider-Man movie franchise so I guess it's inevitable that they'll also make a Spider-Man game for PS4. What do you think guys for this new Spider-Man game for PS4?
