2K Czech Prepping Mafia III For Next-Gen

This could be one of the earliest confirmations of a next-generation title.

According to Eurogamer, 2K Czech is currently cranking away on Mafia III, which is in development for "the PlayStation 4 and next Xbox."

Interestingly enough, it was originally scheduled to be a launch title for next-gen consoles, but this is currently "unlikely" as they've suffered a few cutbacks in recent years. They're staffing up now, though, as they're seeking 13 new employees to help them on the project; they want artists, programmers, designers, etc. Last we heard of 2K Czech is that they were supposedly assisting with Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V, but Rockstar quickly debunked that rumor.

However, much like GTA, Mafia is an open-world title that has a heavy focus on crime...or in this case, specifically trenchcoat mafia crime. If you're bored, you might want to check out the decent Mafia II.

Same as the others, I love the first two 'Mafia' titles and am very excited about a third installment.
And even though I still say 'Mafia II' is considerably better than it received credit for, 2K Czech may want to invest in adding some side missions and/or extracurricular game modes for the third. The lack of those seemed to be one of the most common complaints from players (despite the fact that 'II' being a sequel to 'The City of Lost Heaven' didn't really give them any reason to expect that).

i absolutley freaking loved MAFIA 2 so i cant wait for another one!
please 2K, PLEASE just leave the game alone!
for once can we please, pritty please with ice cream and sprinkles on top, please have a sequel to a game that does not turn the franchise on its head!

besides that they need to make the story and characters more engaging.
i dunno, the story was good and really interesting, especially the middle where the gameplay shifts big time!
i really enjoy that, i thought it was one of the best twists in gaming ever!
and the ending was pretty cool too, lots of backstabbing which is to be expected in a mobster environment!
i just did not care though!
momma in financial struggles, your sister being beat up because of it.
you mooching of your best friend.
even when one of the group members gets shot and you have to take him to the doctors i just could not care less!
dunno, the story was good and interesting so there was nothing wrong there.
for some reason i just did not care about it though, i was not invested in it and wanted to find out every last detail!

other than that please for the love of god LEAVE IT ALONE!
especially the gameplay, the cover mechanic, destructible environments, AI, everything was near perfect!
does not need changing, the ONLY thing that should be changed is the story!

Oh boy. Don't even get your hopes up, cause we all know you'll criticize it just for being a sequel, no matter if they actually changed amything or not. And btw, this game will be changed a lot because there were quite a few shared criticisms of it, and good devs know that fixing flaws is essential in making a sequel.
