Rumor: Sony Liverpool Had Been Working On PS4 Launch Titles
HEY. If they were working on stuff for the PS4, why stop 'em?
Yesterday, we learned the sad news that part of Wipeout developer Sony Liverpool would be disappearing. But that wasn't interesting (just a little sad); the resulting info is most certainly interesting.
According to Eurogamer citing a "reliable source," the team had been working on a Wipeout installment for the next PlayStation console, which would've been "dramatically different" than previous series iterations. They were also working on a stealthy, Splinter Cell-type game, which is a definite surprise. As another surprise, it had apparently been in development for 12-18 months... Both games in question were initially slated to be launch titles for the PS4.
So, that implies that PS4 projects have been in the works at various Sony first-party studios for a year and a half, right? This leads us to a whole lot of questions, the biggest of which being- "So...um...when's that PS4 coming, anyway?" On pins and needles much?

Crap so NG Vita is 30fps?
...
I'll still get it
Yea and WipeOut vita is nice I tried it a few weeks back and thought it looked pretty slick. Effect wise it seemed better to me than Wipeout Hd.
Whenever the time becomes right I'll pick one of 'em up.
I'm sort of hoping for a product revision with longer battery life. Not a deal breaker or nothing of course.

Stealthy game, eh? hmm. I like stealthy.
A year and half, eh? Man, nearly seems like they had a Nov 2012 soft date for PS4. Doesn't look like that's going to happen now, but intriguing nonetheless.
