What If Kojima Is Saving Project Ogre For The PS4's Launch?
Okay, so we're all aware of Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes now, which Hideo Kojima confirmed was not Project Ogre, the master's other project that remains a mystery.
So could Project Ogre or perhaps Metal Gear Solid 5 end up being a launch title for the PlayStation 4? The new machine will need all the software it can get at launch, and let's not forget something important: Sony delayed the US launch of the Vita so they could ensure there would be plenty of available games. And the Vita's release saw the most number of launch games in PlayStation history.
In short, it seems obvious that Sony has learned that new hardware requires appealing software right out of the gate. Plus, we know Kojima, the quintessential perfectionist, requires a fair amount of time to complete his projects. Therefore, it's only logical to assume that at least one of his unannounced titles is being prepped for the next generation of hardware. Put it all together, and it's not out of the realm of possibility to see something like MGS5 when the PS4 hits store shelves, or maybe it'll be that Project Ogre thing...whatever it is.
That will make the PS4 more interesting in the eyes of consumers, now wouldn't it? Hell yeah.

Anyhow, I suppose anythings possible, and maybe Sony knows MGS is worth a ton to the Playstation brand, and some people do think MGS4's exclusivity on PS3 may have saved the PS3 from an early demise, or ugly consequences for Sony.

If Sony wants to play things MS's way through buying out exclusivity deals with their partners, fine, but I'd hope that doesn't become a usual practice of theirs (I don't think it will be). Rather, I think Sony is interested in directing most of their resources at growing a network of ip's to promote their brand through those properties they can control without forking over lofty sums.

hopefully sales wise, yea it would be a new system and expensive so saturation rate would be low.
but than it also has its upside, it means theres very little competition.
and not to mention the guys has mindless fans flowing out the wazoo!
best for the game too, just more possible on next gen systems.
would be best for the target system as well.
ps3 has PLENTY games available for it next year!
this year sadly a whole other kettle of fish, but next year is swimming to the brim.
so it would be best for the platform if it was ps4, and it would also be best for the platform because it will hopefully be a new IP and a unique one.
something we have not seen before, maybe even a new genre like heavy rain was!
said games always do better on fresh systems since thats where people look for them.
to be honest id be VERY surprised if project ogre ends up a current gen game!
not only because of the nature stated above but also because there suppose to release next year and i cant see him working on a old gen game.
releasing a ps3 game when ps4 is out.
not to mention hes releasing MGSGZ next year, so project ogre is probably still a while off.
in fact id be surprised if it was a next gen launch title!
more likely a 1 year anniversary.

I just assume any MGS5 effort is going to be years away and thus has no chance at being a "launch" title.
