Diablo III: Reaper Of Souls Expansion Confirmed For PS4

If you intend to go dungeon-crawling on the PlayStation 4, this is good news.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the expansion, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, is currently in development for Sony's new console. It was previously confirmed for the PC, but there's no word on whether or not it'll come to the PS3, Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

Reaper of Souls will be playable on the PS4 at BlizzCon 2013 in Anaheim, California next month. If you plan on attending, you can check out the single-player and co-op experiences. You'll also be able to sample the Dual Shock 4's new features, which includes the "Share" functionality and the touch pad. The expansion in question will bring you a new class, the Crusader, and boost the level cap to 70. Plus, all the game's current classes will receive new skills, passive abilities and runes.

Also, don't forget about the change in loot: It will drop less frequently in the expansion, but the treasure that does fall will be better. Good plan; cut down on the vast amounts of crap. Diablo III is set to launch for the PS4 in 2014 (an Xbox One version hasn't been confirmed yet), so it's good to know the expansion will be available as well.

Sorry Blizz but Dungeon Siege III is more fun than Diablo III, a shame it took you guys so long to make that thing.

Sorry but Dungeon Siege 3 was absolutely horrible. Especially when compared to the previous two in the series. It isn't anywhere as fun as Diablo 3 in any aspect.

Nowhere near because it's so far ahead in funness and funality. Diablo 3 feels right at home in a time machine that only goes back 15 years.

My wife and I played through DSIII five or six times, and have been waiting for a game with similar gameplay. Diablo 3 gave us that kick. The story isn't *nearly* as good as DSIII's, but the characters are more varied and the way you play a level 60 Barbarian can be wildly different from someone else's build. I like that about it. But, in the end, I agree with World--DSIII is a better experience.

Awesome, I really didn't expect anyone to agree with me on that one :)

I do hope one day I get the itch to keep going in Diablo III, but it just wasn't there once the review was done.

This is great news! Diablo III on the PS3 is amazing. I will be double dipping on this for the PS4. I am looking forward to some remote play with the Vita as well.

Demon Hunter with Rapid Fire is so addicting. Looking forward to the new class as well.

I really hope they do an upgrade progam for this game like they are doing for most cross gen games

So... is this going to separate on PS4, or will it come bundled with the base Diablo III game? Because it seems kinda stingy for them to want to double dip considering it's releasing on the console two years after the original release and at least six months after it came out on PS3.

I really hope this releases for current-gen consoles, I wouldn't mind paying for this.

Good to hear, since there's not a whole lot of other ps4 titles I'll be playing til Infamous comes.
