Evolution Shares Three Brief Driveclub Clips

Okay, so Driveclub has been delayed until 2014. Doesn't mean you won't have other games to play until then.

And besides, developer Evolution Studios isn't receding into the shadows as they try to finish the game; instead, they're keeping the excitement level high by sharing several new gameplay clips.

They're short but they're tasty. You can check 'em out over at the game's Facebook page, and the developer says all that footage was captured using the PS4's video sharing features. There are three clips: One's a mountain race in Norway, then you visit Scotland, and there's even a "stampede" in an Indian forest. Bear in mind that Evolution intends to add improved lighting, reflections, AI and audio to make Driveclub a true next-gen experience.

They also say that when all those upgrades are made to the game, they will share footage of an entire race. And the good news is that we "won't have to wait much longer." After being announced as a PS4 launch title, Driveclub suffered a small delay and is now set for "early 2014."

Looks leaps and bounds better than "The Crew".

I'm just not sure if I like the online only thing though, here's hoping they add some type of single player component.

thats a joke right?
the division is leaps and bounds over this, as you would expect considering its been demonstrated on high end PCs.
driveclubs nothing special, after trying it for a good 30 minutes or so i gotta say its probably the weakest looking game out there!

This is from the dev of DriveClub

"Is there a fixed structure in place for single player?"

DEV: "Yes there is, we have a Championship mode that has a good deal of gameplay so if you do choose to play offline, you won't be disappointed."

"Is it necessary to complete the single player mode in order to unlock cars for multiplayer?"

DEV: "Not at all, you can play whatever way you want, whenever you want."

"Will the solo player evolve in time?"

DEV: "Yes it will, as we add new locations etc into the game, these will be integrated into the single player experience."

You're getting your games confused The Division is the new amazing Tom Clancy game and I agree with everything you said in regards to it. It is in my opinion the best looking next gen game revealed so far.

The Crew on the other hand is the horrible looking, cartoony, open world, sort of MMO mess of a racing game. Even the gameplay videos they have shown so far look like crap. All the hands on previews by the gaming press said it was horribly lack luster and the missions were sub-par. They also said the respawn mechanic is totally broken because you can keep hitting respawn to be brought near the front of the pack or be put right near the objective in a chase mission.

the great amazing power of ps4, and they cant even get it up to 60FPS!
seriously!?
sigh.
oh well at least i have forza 5 to scratch my car passion itch.
and hopefully NFS rivals has gotten rid of those god dam tank slow controls!
criterion sure know how to make a awesome game, then completely destroy it by making each car control like its 100 times its size and weight.

Drive club has Dynamic weather, lighting, day night cycle, luster and sheen on the cars, etc. The moon will shine through realistic clouds. Snow will blow realistically and cover the tracks disrupting traction, headlights will shine and reflect off of everything in their path in a realistic manner. Driveclub's graphics engine is far more advanced than Forza's only thing that looks better in Forza are the cars themselves because that is all the team really focused on graphics wise.
However I have heard the handling is much more realistic in Forza compared to the current build of Driveclub.

I also totally agree with the NFS comment. XD

Drive Club is a mix of Sim and Arcade. Think PGR. They are also working on the driving aspect as well. A LOT of stuff in Drive Club is being worked on, definitely a MUST purchase from what i am seeing from Evo.

Totally agree with you Shauneepeak on Forza. Drive Club imo is smashing it, its pretty impressive.
