Trine 2: The Complete Story Set For PS4

For those who love challenging co-op games with puzzles, platforming and action, the Trine games are for you.

But if you missed out on the sequel and you intend to pick up the PlayStation 4, Finnish developer Frozenbyte is gonna make your day: As they announced over at the PlayStation Blog, Trine 2: The Complete Story is confirmed for Sony's new console!

Playing solo, you will switch between the Knight, the Wizard and the Thief; each has his or her own specific set of skills and abilities, and the Three Heroes must make their way through a beautifully drawn fairytale world. You can play with a couple other human players if you wish. Working together, the adventurers can conquer the toughest puzzles and the most vicious foes. The Complete Story features 20 exciting levels (this includes the expansion Goblin Menace and the secret level, Dwarven Caverns), along with 3D support, gorgeous 1080p resolution and 60 FPS gameplay. Talk about smooth and picturesque!

No word yet on a release date, but at least we know it's coming. Considering my review from 2011, those additions should make the game a solid 9, don't you think?

I got Trine 2 for free and it was pretty neato but I never did play much of it.

Trine 2 is a gorgeous game. Also it is absolutely stunning in 3D.

Am a big fan of both, highly recommend them to puzzle-platformer fans :).

Much as I love Trine 2, I've already played Complete @60fps/1080p on PC, and several times. I don't think PC ports of last gen games is what either upcoming console really needs, but that's kinda been the case for a few generations now, unfortunately.

It does make the libraries more complete. It's not for people like us, who'll have jumped all over these at release, but lots of people play lots of games behind the times (hell, I only played Jade Empire for the first time earlier this year ;)). As long as they've got other, new games (which they do), having a broader, deeper library as well is not a bad thing :).

With 3d support I'll seriously consider picking this one up.
I'm a tad disappointed Arkham Origins doesn't include 3d. Seems like a downgrade from Arkham City.
