Ghosts Is A Native 1080p On PS4, While It's Upscaled On Xbox One
Considering the sheer popularity of the game in question, this is a big win for Sony.
For a while now, there have been resolution rumors concerning Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. To clarify those rumors, Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin hit Twitter to confirm that in fact, the PS4 has the edge:
"Hey, been on the road last couple weeks so haven't had a chance to update, but wanted to confirm that for Xbox One we're 1080p upscaled from 720p. And, we're native 1080p on PS4. We optimized each console to hit 60 FPS and the game looks great on both."
Okay, so maybe you don't think there's a significant difference between an upscaled 1080p and a native 1080p, but ask one of those technologically proficient people and they'll tell you otherwise. We're also hearing more rumors that Ghosts won't be the only multiplatform game that hits a native 1080p on the PS4, while still being an upscaled 1080p on the Xbox One.
Does this mean many big-name multiplatform titles might be best experienced on Sony's machine...?
