PlayStation 4 Launch Units Include Trio Of Digital Vouchers

Your launch PlayStation 4 console will come with an added bonus. Three, actually.

Sony has announced that customers in North America who purchase the new system at launch will be given a trio of vouchers for the PS4's ample digital services.

These vouchers will be available for a limited time, so you may still get them if you purchase a PS4 at some point during the holiday period. You get a free 30 days of PlayStation Plus, a 30-day trial for Music Unlimited, and $10 in PlayStation Store credit. That credit can be used towards anything on the Store, including all PS4 launch titles. The only caveat is that the Music Unlimited code is only valid for new subscribers to the Music Unlimited premium plan, which goes for $9.99/month.

So, now there's even more incentive for you to grab the PS4 early. But you had planned to, anyway, right?

That $10 credit is quite a pleasant surprise. Always tons of great stuff on the PlayStation Store.

Hey Telly, we got some snow outside. That was all the reason I needed to break out the Sinatra Christmas music :)

Love it! Almost time for me to break out the holiday hits, as well. Are you in the midwest? I'm in DC, it's like 60 degrees today :)

Yup I'm in Minnesota, I usually don't bother until like December but I've had Frank and Deano going on my ipod while I walk so much lately that I felt festive.

They really do want people to pay for that worthless music thing. They even sucked me in with a free 30 trial that automatically renewed itself and stole my money.

Remember to proactively cancel that crap people!

You should really keep that in mind for just about every free trial you ever get. At least 95% of them auto-renew.

I bought music unlimited when they had the 12 months for $12 special going on and just upgraded 3 months for $3 with prices like that I couldn't pass it up ;p

Yeah, I really hope they'll offer that deal again! I've got a lot of use out of that service. I have a $25 itunes gift card from last Christmas that I still haven't used. I like not having to worry about moving my music around to various devices. I do like the convenience but I'm not sure I like it enough for $10 a month.

I'll take a looksee at Music Unlimited but I'm sure I'll go back to YouTube and SnipMP3 immediately on my PC. Why pay for something you can get for free?

Hopefully I can piggyback the PS+ onto my current account that runs until January 7 before I renew. Then I'd buy a 3-month code that would hold me until mid-May, when I spend more time carousing than gaming.

I'm hoping we get the deal that was leaked out from a GameStop Black Friday flyer a couple of weeks ago: $29.99 for a year of PS+. Hoping for Black Friday or at least Boxing Day deal for for those of us outside the US.

Sales on PS+ cards will be a common sight going forward. Every year I see sales on 12 month Xbox Live cards so I expect the same for PS+ cards. I'd pay $30 for a year, myself.

I actually bought my PS+ card from a guy on Kijiji for $30. He also threw in a copy of Bad Company as well for driving over to pick it up.

Was that guy a wholesaler or something? How did he have $30 cards laying around?! I hope $30-a-year subscriptions for PS+ does become a usual site!

Who knows? All I know is that I saved $27. I think the guy just didn't want it.
