Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Hitting PS4 On January 24?

The Tomb Raider reboot was one of the absolute funnest games of 2013.

Now, it appears that Lara Croft's latest and greatest adventure might be coming to the freshly released PlayStation 4. As spotted by Eurogamer, there's a very recent Amazon Italy listing for the "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition."

It has a date of January 24, 2014, which means that if it's real, we should be hearing more about this new version soon. According to the product page, the Definitive Edition will feature the main game, all the currently released downloadable content and an artbook. No new single-player content was ever released, but Crystal Dynamics did make some cool new multiplayer maps. And besides, if you missed out earlier this year and you have the PS4, this will be perfect in January. Should be awesome on the PS4!

Let's hope Square Enix announces a new entry for the new generation, too.

Makes some sense cuz SE really wants to make as much money as possible off these games, as evinced by the directors cut of Human Revolution. I could see Tomb Raider having been made scalable because it's gorgeous for a multiplat.

Not a fan and really do not care. I have not played it, seen gameplay, but my friends tell me overhyped and nothing new.

But if the demand is there by fans... why not.

Keep playing!

There is newness in it, a very excellent experience all around. On par or better overall than Uncharted 1 or 3.

I really enjoyed this reboot, but would I rebuy? The answer is no. If any title was to be rereleased for ps4 I would rebuy The Last of Us, any Uncharted , Grand Theft Auto V and Skyrim.

It'd be nice if I could take advantage of the $9.99 upgrade deal to PS4 for this game, and it have a separate trophy list to boot.

This probably won't happen, though. :(

Was going to pick it up sometime next year, but it looks like it just got bumped to the PS4 list. All cross-gen games are going to be next gen purchases for me, even if that means waiting a year or more to play them.

Yeah same. I don't agree with people that cross-gen games don't count as a next-gen game. Because cross-gen games are always much better on the next-gen consoles, and who doesn't want to play the best version of a game?

This game has always been in the back of my mind, but never enough to purchase it.

If this is true then I would definitely consider a purchase.

Awhile ago there was a tech demo from SE showing some new 'hair' technology, the demo was from the recent Tomb Raider game, I wonder if this was from the next-gen version?
