Sony To Launch PS4/Vita "Ultimate" Bundle In UK

This is precisely the sort of bundle one would expect to see from Sony this holiday season.

According to MCV, a PlayStation 4/PlayStation Vita "Ultimate" bundle will be released in December before Christmas. MCV is a UK-based site, though, so there's no knowing if gamers in the US will have access to this uber-enticing package.

There was mention of a price for this bundle, but we know the PS4 goes for $399 while the Vita comes in at $199, so perhaps $500 would be a great price point. Furthermore, it's clear that Sony isn't giving up on their portable just yet, as they plan to run a £2.5 million TV campaign in the UK called "The Best Way to Play." The ad will boast the Vita's Remote Play capabilities and Media Molecule's recently released and well-received Tearaway.

A PS4/Vita bundle could really help spur Vita sales for the future, as it might generate more good word-of-mouth for the handheld. And it really should be available in all major territories.

I would get it "just because" and I'm sure there are more people who would get it for the same reason lol so you're completely right that it could help PS Vita sales.

It's about time, they will need to do this in the US too. If they don't harness the excitement around PS4 the Vita will get lost again.

That would be awesome for $500, I'd get that immediately. My expectation would be that they'd probably just do $50 off, which compared with other Vita deals that are about to be released (saw one for $169.99 somewhere) just wouldn't really compare.

They need this bundle in the US.. It is a no brainer if it was at $500.. Easy choice, want to buy a Xbox1 (aka 720 in my book) w/ kinect or a PS4 w/ a vita that u play on-the-go? The answer is simple.

Perhaps an extra £100 for the PS4 - PSV bundle in the UK. I don't see a $500 bundle happening any time soon in N. America - $550 maybe and they'll see if that sells before they feel the need to drop it another $50 off it.

Man, if it's $500 that's a fantastic bundle. Unfortunately my remote play isn't working so well though. I think it's because I live in an apartment building with tons of electronic devices surrounding me, meaning there's just tons of interference. Or maybe I need a new router? Any ideas, anyone?

Your residence may be the problem. I remember tech sites like Anandtech and others pleading with Sony back in the spring to adapt a better wifi solution, one with dual band or 5 GHz frequency radios. They feared for people in exactly your situation.

I, on the other hand, do not live in a radio congested area and remote play has worked flawlessly for me. I'm actually shocked at how well it works, to be honest.

Are you using the option to connect directly to the Vita? It limits your mobility; You pretty much have to be in the same room as your PS4. I've been playing Resogun on my Vita (which I'm REALLY enjoying btw) when my kids take over the TV and have had no connection issues.

If this happens I might just get this to have an extra Vita on hand. Especially if it comes with the newest version.

Part of the wait for me is the various PS4 bundles that will come next year. If(actually when)this bundle come over that's a great value.
