Shadow Fall Update 1.05 Based On Community Feedback

Killzone: Shadow Fall is a great game. But it just got a little better.

Developer Guerrilla has released update 1.05 for the PlayStation 4 launch title, and this patch was delivered based on community feedback. The fixes and alterations affect both the single-player and multiplayer aspects of the game:

  • The controller options menu now offers support for left-handed players. Please note that this change only affects the analog sticks, not the shoulder buttons or the triggers.
  • The end section of single-player campaign chapter 7, “Secure the Target”, has been shortened based on player feedback.
  • In single-player campaign chapter 8, “Outcast”, the collision ceiling has been raised to allow players to fly over certain buildings, instead of crashing into them. This should result in less overall player deaths.
  • Several UI issues fixed
  • Error messages in Multiplayer amended to have better indication of the error
  • Edge-case crashes related to friends lists fixed
  • Additional integrity fixes for the patching system

I raged quite a bit on that flying part in chapter 8. Glad they fixed it.

well it's gud to hear that most of the bugs and stablility issues will be gone by the time i play either bf4 or killzone online

really gotta say if this is what next gen has install for us than my ps4s going on ebay and making a massive profit!
i really dident believe the reviews when they said KZ2 and 3 were better, thinking hey this is a ps4 title, they have to of learnt their lessons by now!
GG has just made so many bad design decisions its laughable!
im almost convinced shadow fall is the ps3 game, and 2 and 3 were the ps4 games.

i mean the AI is PATHETIC!
the spawning of enemies is seriously cheap, your standing outside a building no ones there, no one, no one, you walk in bam 50 enemies appear and your dead.
f*cking hate this tired old BS cheap a$$ mechanic!
come on we stopped using the old enemies dont spawn till you cross this invisible line BS YEARS ago, it had no place in ps3 games, it has less a palace in ps4 games!
the level design is f*cked too,your waiting for a drop ship, higs on one side of the building, your team on the other side, both run up to the roof and oh look theres 100s of conveniently placed sandbags for enemies to camp.
jack, just stand out in the open and let everyone shoot you!

the space missions too, WTF is on with chapter 3?
hey i know whats fun, lets run around picking up things and plugging them into sockets to unlock a seemingly infinite number of doors!
this is a fast paced high adrenaline shooter, puzzles have NO place in a fast paced shooter!
if it was a confined corridor it wouldnt matter so much, but its not theres so many hallways and so many locked doors, so its go to the first slot open the door, find another to unlock the second, unlock the second, find another for the third, unlock the third, oops wrong way.
corridor two, find one to unlock door one, unlock door one, find one to unlock door two, unlock door two, find one to unlock door 3, unlock door 3, AAAHHHHHHHHH wrong way AGAIN!
this is the point you hurl the controller through the TV, and the console sings i believe i can fly as it flies off the roof of your house!
seriously, in what universe would chapter 3 be considered FUN!?

also, i know i keep harping on about cliche predictable stories but come on!
you start the game and the instant it starts boom you know exactly how the first 10 minutes of the game plays out.
can we please stop taking the tired clichéd stories from 1980 hollywood films and shoehorning them into every single god dam game!?
once, just once, id like to play a game, and not know whats around the corner for the entire game!

gee, talk about 1 step forward 1000000000 steps back.
better graphics, but everything else, oh dear.........
GG, please, for the love of god, enough KZ, just bring us your new IP already!!!!!!!!!!!!

really missing the pause and resume function for games too.
playing my xbox one for the past week ive gotten so use to turning off the system whenever i want knowing i can pick up where i left off later.
$ony still hasent implemented that, huh hows that for the 4 the gamers device?
ironic, the "multimedia" device has more gaming features than the "4 the gamers device".
ps4 has live streams, xbox has pause and resume games.
whos the casual just for entertainment box now?
