Sony: Retailers Will Continue To Get Regular PS4 Shipments
If you didn't manage to snag a PlayStation 4 during the European launch, don't worry.
SCE UK Managing Director Fergal Gara told The Gaming Liberty that he isn't worried about the PS4 supply situation for the holidays and beyond. While stock will get sold through now and again, retailers will continue to get regular shipments:
"Winding the clock back, as we started to see the bigger demand for consoles later than we expected, but weíve done everything we can do to increase production. This has given us more than we were expecting some weeks and months back for example Ė so that is a good job. Stock is flowing over time so there is regular replenishments! Even if it was to sell out this weekend, we expect more stock to be available next weekend for example. It might pop in and out of stock between now and Christmas, and yes, we do apologise to anyone that canít get one, but again, we would ask for patience."
We imagine this is probably the case for all regions where the PS4 is available. They're definitely going to make it as available as possible, so most interested consumers can have one before year's end. It never used to be that way but hey, Sony approached this launch very differently than they have in the past. One might even say they pulled a complete 180...
