Redeem Voucher Feature Should Be Back Online For PS4
In order for the European launch of the PlayStation 4 to run smoothly, Sony disabled a few Network features.
This included the "redeem voucher" feature, which halted new users from taking advantage of extra content codes. However, Sony has revealed that code redemption functionality has returned.
Sony added that they "should be back at full capacity for redemption," so now users can use the PS3-PS4 upgrade vouchers, as well as Plus vouchers and any other codes they may have in their possession. As for the Network itself, we haven't heard any significant complaints in the past few days. Here's hoping it's running along okay, and PS4 players are able to enjoy the full assortment of online features the new system offers. We're also hearing whispers about the next hardware update, but there's nothing concrete yet.
Sony also announced today that the PS4 has hit 2.1 million units worldwide; it's the "biggest PlayStation launch ever."
