Whore Of The Orient "Similar To L.A. Noire," Hits In 2015?
It was sad to see Team Bondi's apparent demise after the fantastic success of L.A. Noire.
But amazingly, the studio is back and currently working on a next-generation project entitled Whore of the Orient. Everyone is wondering when it might finally arrive...well, not for a while, unfortunately.
According to some new job listings (as cited by GameSpot), the anticipated title won't be ready until 2015. The listings are for KMM Interactive, which acquired the rights to the game last year, and they're looking to fill a variety of positions. As for the upcoming new IP, it's described as a "narrative action adventure title" that is similar to L.A. Noire. Set in 1936, players will explore the "most corrupt and decadent city on the planet," although we're not sure yet of our role; the main character has yet to be revealed.
Okay, so 2015 is a long ways off but even so, it's great to see something along the lines of L.A. Noire. We'll be patient.

I wonder if the word Whore in the title is going to call some crazy attention to the game.

But I still maintain that this is one of those games that every gamer should experience. Like Heavy Rain.

I also thought the interrogation method was very hard to use. I'd often pick a choice, only to watch Cole press the question in a way that made no sense at all, and didn't seem to align with the direction I wanted him to take. Reading faces was kind of fun, but it was my own character that I couldn't read.
I actually thought the dialogue choice option was implemented much better in the latest Deus Ex. The facial capture stuff wasn't as refined, but the fact that I could see the first couple sentences of what my character was going to say depending on the choices I made went a long way.
Ultimately, Noire was one of the few games I traded away without completing it. I felt I'd gotten all I wanted to get out of it about halfway through.

There's actually a tech demo on the interwebs about a crash simulator, kinda like euphoria or endorphin. Realistic damage recreation and inertia. It doesn't necessarily total your car completely, but it's step in the right direction to virtual realism.

I definitely agree that your guy does or says things you didn't want him to based on your decisions but it wasn't any worse than the same issue in all the Mass Effect games.

- omg, me too! I had forgotten about that, but that is just so true. I was like, "noooo, I didn't mean it like THAT!" while pulling my hair :D
