Ubisoft Claims The Division Will Boast Revolutionary Detail

We already knew about Tom Clancy's The Division, but now Ubisoft is making some pretty bold claims.

When it was presented at the 2013 Spike VGX Awards, the publisher revealed that the anticipated title would be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We also learned it would be set in the Splinter Cell universe and deliver a level of detail no game has ever achieved.

The exact quote is- "Never before has a video game reached this level of detail." The developers are using the vaunted Snowdrop Engine, which is being used to capture light realistically via a volumetric lighting system. There are also procedural destruction elements, and the result is a more authentic atmosphere. The video shown - watch it below - is pretty darn impressive, and we know that fans of Tom Clancy's products, and military games in general, are champing at the bit.

But the question is whether or not it will really achieve unprecedented levels of realism. That really is a tall order.

As level of detail goes, this game looks brilliant, however, i feel as that No Man's Sky will blow this out the water.
