Realism Is Better In Next-Gen Versions Of Ground Zeroes
Perhaps the answer is obvious, but Hideo Kojima just wanted to clear things up.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prelude to The Phantom Pain, will be released for both current- and next-gen consoles. Which version is the one to nab? Well, the franchise creator weighed in on Twitter:
"I've been asked which ver u should buy. The feel of play & impression's similar as it's been made multiplatform/multigen this time. Sense of realism & graphics looks much better in next gen. So I'd say current-gen for those who can't buy next gen just yet & upgrade later."
That's perfectly sensible, but don't forget that the current-gen iteration of the game might be slightly more appealing, simply because it'll be cheaper. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will go for $20, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be available to download for $30. Ground Zeroes has been described as a "teaching tool" for long-time fans who need to get used to a very new format and style.
Personally, if it has "Metal Gear Solid" in the title, I'll spring for the best version possible.
