Realism Is Better In Next-Gen Versions Of Ground Zeroes

Perhaps the answer is obvious, but Hideo Kojima just wanted to clear things up.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prelude to The Phantom Pain, will be released for both current- and next-gen consoles. Which version is the one to nab? Well, the franchise creator weighed in on Twitter:

"I've been asked which ver u should buy. The feel of play & impression's similar as it's been made multiplatform/multigen this time. Sense of realism & graphics looks much better in next gen. So I'd say current-gen for those who can't buy next gen just yet & upgrade later."

That's perfectly sensible, but don't forget that the current-gen iteration of the game might be slightly more appealing, simply because it'll be cheaper. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will go for $20, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be available to download for $30. Ground Zeroes has been described as a "teaching tool" for long-time fans who need to get used to a very new format and style.

Personally, if it has "Metal Gear Solid" in the title, I'll spring for the best version possible.

Well guys, in the future the next gen versions will have an affordable bundle version with bot Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain shortly after the Phantom Pain releases so might as well wait for that.

I hate the ''Teaching Tool'' concept, treating us like idiots.

Ditto, tutorials are so lame I can't believe they put them into even basic FPS games. I guess at least folks should be happy that Ground Zeroes isn't just a tutorial for the multiplayer like many SP games are becoming.

Yep but it's a tutorial we have to pay for... Kojima has been trying to convince us this isn't us paying for a Tanker mission, what it's happening makes me sick and I'm disappointed with him :(

WOW, who would of thought!?
another to put into the thank you captain obvious file.
hate it how developers do this, you ask them a specific question so they give you a stupid obvious smart a$$ answer.

That's funny, is it like looking in the mirror?

On topic: While I usually eat up anything MGS
related this does feel a little dirty. I don't need a teaching tool, just give me full game and I'm good.

Will someone please take this guy to a Tims or Starbucks and keep him off the streets. Or least from talking. He really does not having anything to offer other than offer to himself to make him still feel relevant.

We get it, you think you are a visionary. Okay. I will give you that, but enough. There are plenty of "visionaries" out there and others who may not be so but still produce decent games.

Move along please... move along.

Keep playing!

While I wouldn't rip on Kojima as much, I'd say that he needs to work on his comments to the press. When he talks to them he never says anything that helps or makes any sense. Of course people who don't have next gen systems should get the last gen versions.

I probably wouldn't buy a teaching tool. Just a thought.
