Amazon: PS4, Xbox One Sold At A Rate Of 1,000 Units/Hour
Two of the hottest sellers of 2013 sold like mad on Amazon.com.
The mega global retailer revealed some really encouraging numbers for the two next-gen game systems, which contributed to Amazon's best holiday season ever:
At their peak, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were selling at a ridiculous rate of 1,000 consoles per minute. In fact, shoppers purchased over 36.8 million items worldwide, which translates to a 426 items-per-minute pace...and that was on Cyber Monday alone. Who knows what their overall numbers might look like? They gotta be through the roof. Did you do your shopping online?
For now, as far as anyone knows the PS4 and Xbox One have sold a very similar number of consoles around the world. Both have apparently sold over 2 million units and Sony anticipates selling 3 million before the year is up. They don't have much time left; think they did it?
