Sony Advises PS4 Seekers To Be Patient
When you can't find what you want, there's really only one solution: Be patient.
That's the only advice Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida can give to those who are seeking a PlayStation 4. When someone asked when we can expect to see more PS4 units at retail, Yoshida simply responded with the following on Twitter:
The person who asked the question mentioned that the Xbox One is readily available at multiple major retailers, including GameStop and Amazon. Sony has said that PS4 supply will be "limited" through the end of 2013, with more shipments coming in January and February of 2014. As for the total number of worldwide sales, Yoshida said he doesn't know. Sony's goal of selling 3 million PS4 units by December 31, 2013 didn't seem out of the realm of possibility; their other goal is to sell 5 million before the end of the company's fiscal year (March 31, 2014).
So, if you don't have a PS4 just yet, accept Yoshida's advice and catch up on your PS3 backlog. You know you have one.
