Pelican Screen Guard Review
One of these products is the Screen Guard, from Pelican Accessories, which is a thin plastic film that adheres to screen and provides a transparent barrier between the outside world and your PSP.
No adhesive is used to secure the Screen Guard onto the PSP. Instead, one side is made of a smooth plastic that forms a static seal when placed against the screen (similar to those transparent window stickers you've probably seen). The package includes a plastic card that allows you to install the Screen Guard and smooth out any bubbles without touching the back side of the guard.
The plastic film is so thin that once it's attached, you can't tell it's there unless you really hunt for it.
For the most part, it works as advertised. Fingerprints and dust wipe right off with a cloth, and the plastic seems to be resistant to many of the common things that often cause tiny scratches to develop. We didn't use a knife or scissors, and we don't plan to.
The only negative aspect of Pelican's Screen Guard is that it causes the screen to appear dimmer--slightly. It's not a big deal, but you may end up kicking the brightness setting up a notch to compensate.
Retail price on the Pelican Screen Guard is $8.99. The package includes 2 screen guards and a micro-fiber cleaning cloth similar to the one that came with the PSP.
