Sega Reveals Phantasy Star Portable For PSP
We could just tell you that PSP is coming for the PSP, but that would probably just confuse the hell out of you. We'll elaborate.
Famitsu has confirmed that a PSP version of the massively popular Phantasy Star Universe will be released in Japan in 2008. It will actually be called Phantasy Star Portable (that's where the "PSP" comes from, obviously), and it's a title based entirely on PSU. However, handheld users will get more than a few new features, including new elements and bosses from the Ambition of Illuminus PSU expansion. We can also expect a whole new storyline and several new characters, along with a much-appreciated multiplayer mode (how can you have Phantasy Star without it?), where four players can get together for ad-hoc adventuring fun.
No word yet on whether or not Phantasy Star Portable will make its way to North America, but if it does, we'll be sure to let you know ASAP.
