PSP News: GPS For PSP, Dual Shock 3 Mention At CES

GPS For PSP, Dual Shock 3 Mention At CES

Clearly, Sony has been keeping a few things secret before the official unveiling at this week's Consumer Electronics Show. One of them is the new Internet communications feature, Skype, for the redesigned PSP, which was just announced today. However, if you look close, there's more to be found for the PSP if you dig a little further.

The first place we saw Skype for the PSP was Sony's official CES website, so we figured we'd wander on back to see what else they list for the handheld. Well, after reviewing the site once again, we noticed both PSP GPS and a mention of the Dual Shock 3 for PS3! Skype turned out to be a fact, so why shouldn't we expect info on PSP GPS and DS 3 capabilities? Here's what the site has to say about that GPS feature-

"Explore the world with GPS on your PSP. Utilizing the GPS peripheral and the latest mapping software on UMD, your PSP will provide 2D/3D locations, driving directions, POI's, and even downloadable city guides. With an easy search feature and customizable settings, GPS on PSP is the easiest way to navigate new areas and cities. Your world has now become portable."

Sweet! We're still waiting to see if we hear/see any more big PlayStation 3-related news at CES - the significant news has mostly centered on the PSP so far - and if we find any, we'll be sure to let you know.
