EGM Rumors: Dead Rising 2 For PS3, Chains Of Olympus On PS2
Ah, rumors. Is there anything better? The March issue of EGM should be arriving very soon, but in the meantime, 1Up has delivered an early look at the magazine's latest rumor and gossip mill.
First up, it seems the sequel to Dead Rising is currently in development for "multiple consoles" (the original was an Xbox 360 exclusive), but Capcom isn't handling the creation duties this time around. Evidently, an "LA-based developer" is working on Dead Rising 2, but there's no further information at this time. Now, if you've got a PS2 but not a PSP (and that's a lot of you), that means you won't be able to play God of War: Chains of Olympus...or will you? Currently exclusive to the PSP, it seems we may eventually see a PS2 port of the hotly anticipated title, just like we had with the GTA handheld installments (Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories). Lastly, and staying on the subject of cross-platform, the PS3's Everyday Shooter may find it's way to the PSP.
As usual, nothing here is confirmed but it's still fun to talk about. These rumors may be very true, especially considering how many games are going cross-platform these days. When and if we get clarification on these points of interest, we'll be sure to let you know.
